At the 6th Bettane & Desseauve Wine of China (2025), the entire series of " Chateau Mihope, 1968 Family Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon" from Mihope performed outstandingly, setting a new record with a score of 97-98 points, the highest ever recorded for fine dry red wines in China.

Bettane & Desseauve was co-founded by renowned wine critics Michel Bettane and Thierry Desseauve, both of whom have served as editors of France's La Revue du vin de France (RVF) Wine Review. The organization has been established for twenty years and is regarded as one of the most influential wine appraisal units in France.

In June of this year, Bettane & Desseauve launched the 6th Wine of China, evaluating over 300 fine wines from 16 provinces in China in September, held in Beijing and Shangri-La. This tasting is the largest in its history and has broad representation.

Among the many wines evaluated, the entire series of Mihope's " Chateau Mihope, 1968 Family Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon" stood out, ultimately setting a new record in this appraisal with a high score of 97-98 points. The 2022 vintage achieved the highest score ever of 98 points in the dry red category, while the Chateau Mihope Cabernet Gernischt 2023 received the top rating for the Cabernet Gernischt variety, significantly demonstrating the overall quality improvement of wines from the Ningxia region.

The results of this evaluation not only affirm Mihope's outstanding winemaking skills but also signify the continuous breakthroughs of Chinese wines in international authoritative evaluations, indicating an increasingly notable development prospect for fine wines from Ningxia and China on the world stage.
