Huang Weidong

Professor Huang Weidong from China Agricultural University’s College of Food Science and Nutritional Engineering served as principal investigator for major national research projects under China’s 12th and 13th Five-Year Plans. He has led both fundamental and applied research focused on enhancing grape raw material quality, isolating indigenous wild yeast strains, and optimizing winemaking techniques. His work has significant implications for producing premium wines with distinct Chinese characteristics. Under his leadership, the "Academic Series" wines have won multiple international awards.

Zuo Xinhui

Madam Zuo Xinhui, proprietor of Lilan Winery, has closely intertwined her personal journey and the destiny of her winery with the winemaking heritage of the Ningxia Helan Mountain’s East Foothill Wine Region. She has led her team in implementing green pest management practices. Her uncompromising grape quality standards have earned Lilan Winery numerous awards at domestic and international competitions. As a committed advocate for rural revitalization, she has trained local women as skilled winery workers, enabling their "purple dreams" in the industry.

Highlights

 In 2019, Jade Vineyard stood out from over 6,000 wineries and 13,000 wines worldwide at the International Wine & Spirit Competition (IWSC), earning the prestigious “50th Anniversary Wine Discovery Award.”

Jade Vineyard has been selected multiple times as a producer of national diplomatic gifts. Most notably in 2025, six of its premium wines were chosen as part of China’s official Diplomatic Gift of the Year.
