Zhenshan Estate, a Chinese garage winery, was established by Jiang Tao, a preeminent winemaker from Ningxia. In 2015, after leaving the state-owned company, Jiang Tao dedicated himself to his self-owned brand, Zhenshan. With an innovative and unconventional approach, he focuses on interpreting the terroir and nature, allowing the grapes to speak for themselves and showcasing the unique characteristics of each grape variety. The winery's flagship wines, Marselan and Cabernet Franc, are recognized among the region's top-tier offerings.
Jiang Tao is a distinguished winemaker in China's wine industry. In 1995, he was admitted to Northwest A&F University, majoring in pomology, and later specialized in winemaking, marking the beginning of his winemaking career. In 2015, he resigned as COFCO's chief winemaker to become a winemaking consultant and founded Zhenshan Estate. His wines have garnered numerous awards at prestigious wine competitions both in China and internationally. In 2023, Jiang Tao was honored with the title of "Gold Medal Wine Consultant" by the Decanter World Wine Awards.
Zhenshan’s Marselan wines have achieved remarkable success on the international stage, winning the Grand Gold Medal at the 2023 Concours Mondial de Bruxelles, along with the Gold Medal in the Marselan category, and the "Outstanding Quality Award" at the China Fine Wine Challenge. The winery's new release, Zhenshan Natural Orange Wine, earning a Gold Medal at the 2024 Wine 100 Awards, highlighting the winery’s strength and innovation in winemaking.
