Mr. Zhang Ziyang.s 10th Anniversary Tasting Event "Witnessing the Rise of Ningxia Wine" Concludes Successfully

In March 2026, during the Chengdu Sugar and Wine Fair, the tasting event "A Decade of Witness—The Rise of Ningxia Wine," hosted by renowned wine critic Mr. Zhang Ziyang, who is based in Spain, came to a successful close in the city.

The event traced the years from 2015 to 2025. From the perspective of someone who witnessed it firsthand, Mr. Zhang Ziyang shared his heartfelt experiences from a decade spent exploring the eastern foothills of Helan Mountain in Ningxia. From terroir exploration to leaps in quality, he presented the complete transformation of Ningxia wine—from its early days to its emergence on the world stage.

Guests at the event tasted eight highly representative Ningxia wines, experiencing the region’s decade of growth and refinement through their own palates. As the grand finale, the flagship wine of Helanhun Hero Reserve Dry Red Wine, made a stunning appearance. This wine was presented by a Chinese national leader to French President Macron in 2023 as a symbol of Sino-French friendship. Its deep complexity and outstanding quality brought the atmosphere to a peak, vividly showcasing the allure of Ningxia’s finest wines.
