China Ningxia Helan Mountain International Wine Ltd in collaboration with Maxim’s Group, showcased premium wines from Helan Hong, Huahao, Fei Tswei, and Xige Estate—six exceptional vintages from the eastern foothills of Helan Mountain. Each wine was expertly paired with a meticulously crafted dish, highlighting the region’s unique terroir and maximizing the expression of every bottle, offering Hong Kong wine enthusiasts an extraordinary tasting experience.
The event was graced by distinguished guests, including Mr. Leung Chun-ying, Vice Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC); and Mr. Martie Lee, Chief Operating Officer of Maxim’s Group. In his opening remarks, Mr. Leung provided valuable insights on promoting the Helan Mountain East wine region.
Mr. Leung emphasized that Ningxia must focus on high-standard grape cultivation and winemaking to ensure premium quality, while Hong Kong plays a pivotal role as an international trade and promotional hub. Leveraging its mature wine market, Hong Kong can serve as the "final mile" connector, helping Ningxia wines reach global audiences. This perspective sparked lively discussions, reinforcing the collaborative potential between Ningxia and Hong Kong.

Mr. Alan Yuen, representative of China Ningxia Helan Mountain International Wine Ltd., stated: "Ningxia’s wine region boasts unparalleled natural conditions and is now home to over 200 wineries, forming the largest wine cluster in China with immense growth potential. As Hong Kong young entrepreneurs responding to government initiatives, we’ve partnered with Ningxia’s wine professionals to establish an import-export company dedicated to Ningxia wines, aiming to elevate their global presence. We are committed to introducing premium Helan Mountain wines to Hong Kong, enhancing the international reputation of Chinese wines, and promoting the legacy of Chinese wine culture."

Maxim’s Group’s partnership with the Helan Mountain East wine region began at the 2024 Hong Kong International Wine & Spirits Fair. With strong support from both regional governments, the collaboration combines Ningxia’s exceptional wines with Maxim’s leadership in Hong Kong’s culinary scene, culminating in the 2025 Global Cuisine & Ningxia Wine Pairing Series. These dinners, led by rotating chefs, feature one-wine-one-dish pairings, breaking away from traditional wine promotion formats. Interactive sessions with Hong Kong sommeliers, Ningxia winemakers, and international chefs create an engaging consumer experience, pioneering a new model for Ningxia wine promotion in Hong Kong.
