「根據香港法律,不得在業務過程中,向未成年人售賣或供應令人醺醉的酒類」"Under the law of Hong Kong, intoxicating liquor must not be sold or supplied to a minor in the course of business."
We partnered with Chinese Arts & Crafts (CAC) , a prestigious brand with over 60 years of heritage, and the Hong Kong Federation of Guangxi Clansmen Associations to host a truly unique cultural salon. As a premier retailer of exquisite Chinese cultural products based in Hong Kong, CAC is dedicated to preserving and promoting the very best of traditional Chinese art. Their core philosophy—"Chinese Culture · Modern Living"—resonates deeply with our own passion for sharing the rich cultural tapestry behind every bottle of wine.

The afternoon began on a fascinating note as we joined an expert from CAC for a deep dive into the world of Myanmar jadeite. We learned about its geological formation, the nuanced grading of its colour and transparency, and the incredible skill involved in traditional carving techniques. It struck us how similar this is to the appreciation of fine wine. To truly understand a great wine, you must also explore its terroir, the story of its vintage, and the craft of its maker. Jadeite is revered for its "texture, water, and colour," just as wine is celebrated for its "balance, finish, and typicity." Both are acts of rediscovering and paying homage to nature's most magnificent gifts—one forged over millions of years deep within the earth, the other born from a single season's sun and rain.

From the depths of the earth, our journey then arrived on the terrain we know best: the eastern foothills of the Helan Mountains in Ningxia, China. It was here that we introduced our guests to "Helan Red," guiding them on a cultural exploration of Chinese wine.
We shared the incredible story of how the eastern foothills of Helan have transformed from a vast, uninhabited Gobi desert into a world-renowned "star wine region". With a latitude comparable to Bordeaux, over 3,000 hours of annual sunshine, a dry climate, and mineral-rich alluvial soils, this land possesses all the elements of the terroir code for crafting exceptional wines.

As our guests swirled and sipped the deep ruby "Helan Hong," they experienced more than just the bold cassis notes of a Cabernet Sauvignon, the silky smoothness of a Merlot, or the unique oriental charm of a Cabernet Gernischt. In every glass, they tasted the dedication and pioneering spirit of China's winemakers. It’s a story of relentless passion—from planting the very first vines in the untamed wilderness to now consistently winning gold medals on the international stage. This commitment to craftsmanship is no less profound than that of a master jade carver creating a heirloom piece.
Looking back, the event felt like a beautiful journey through time and artistry. It began with the CAC’s representation of imperial elegance and the meticulous art of jade carving, and culminated in the promising, sun-drenched vineyards of Ningxia. Jade and wine—one a timeless treasure of the earth, the other an annual chronicle of a specific place and time. Though they differ in form and substance, at their heart, both are a testament to the pursuit of ultimate craftsmanship and a shared reverence for the gifts of nature.

We extend our sincere gratitude to Chinese Arts & Crafts and the Hong Kong Federation of Guangxi Clansmen Associations for their wonderful collaboration, and to every guest who joined us. We look forward to creating more moments of cultural fusion like this in the future, and to continuing to toast the enduring spirit of craftsmanship with our "Helan Hong."
We warmly invite you to visit any of our retail outlet to discover the unique taste of China from the eastern foothills of the Helan Mountains for yourself.
